Devourers of Vile-Tis

The pack of the Moaning Moon once lived east of Avagddu. The Beast came one night, borne by a shooting star that crashed into a circle of stones. Vile-Tis, the god of slaughter, had been banished and condemned by his equals to roam Aarklash until time got the better of him. Determined to get revenge, he disclosed terrifying secrets to the Wolfen of the Moaning Moon. Thirsty for blood, the Beast revealed them that Yllia didn’t love her children and that their natural savagery was not a noble heritage but rather a curse. Ever since then the followers of Vile-Tis are dreaded because they devour their enemies’ flesh. The Wolfen of the Moaning Moon are now assisted in their quest for carnage by half-elves devoted to the teachings of Vile-Tis.

The Devourers are the antithesis of Wolfen. While Wolfen offer unhinged offensive potential with weak staying power, devourers have high resilience and defense values. Devourers also maintain some of the offensive potential of their cousins, while still having the born killer racial ability for the wolves and average to slightly above average strength across the army. The army features good movement and some quality shooting. The army isn’t without its flaws though. Featuring some very high points costs the army is often outnumbered and the range itself has limited choices. The models can hit hard but lack the brutality of other armies and cannot simply expect to walk through each of their opponents. The army is quite potent and can represent a wall of wolves that are hard to remove while striking back with ferocity.

Pro:
· Very high resilience and defense
· Good movement across the army
· Can win most one on one fights against most opponents

Cons:
· Limited range prevents a large variety of list options
· Average strength means the army will struggle to get through opponents quickly
· Low discipline means that movement needs to be maximized to limit the low model count
